Pilates with Purpose: Honoring My Dad
Hi, I'm Nicole, owner of Bodies 4 Pilates in Torrance. Every month, I lead a community Pilates mat class at Wishing Tree Parkโa calming, joyful space to move and connect with others in the fresh air.
With Father's Day around the corner, I want to share something personal.
Two years ago, just as I was preparing to launch my business, my dad passed away unexpectedly. It was an incredibly difficult time both emotionally and financially.
Some close family friends created a GoFundMe for my mom and me-something we never asked for and felt a little embarrassed to accept. But it turned out to be a tremendous blessing.
We used that money to cover basic living expenses. That support gave us time to grieve and breathe. It didn't fund my business directly, but it gave me the space I needed to stay committed to myโฆ
